Beposo (Ash), Sept 22, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo, Mr. Kwame Asafu-Adjei, has presented large quantity of streetlight bulbs in support of the effort at improving the public lighting system in the Beposo community.
He additionally made available cash of GH¢3,000.00 towards the renovation of a police station in the town.
Making the presentation at a ceremony, the MP indicated that it was meant to assist upgrade security there.
He assured the people that the necessary steps had been taken for the implementation of one-district one-factory programme in the area.
Nana Boamah Kwabi IV, the Omanhene of Beposo, said they were grateful for the gesture.
He hailed the government for the bold decision to implement the free senior high school (SHS) policy and said it had provided extraordinary opportunity for many a young people from poor homes.
He appealed to the Sekyere Central District Assembly to help expand the infrastructure - dormitories and classrooms at the Islamic SHS in the town, to enrol more students.
Nana Kwabi also wants the seven-kilometre Beposo-Wioso road rehabilitated.
