You Won't Be Posted Even If You Slash My Throat - Health Minister To Nurses

The Minister of Health Kwaku Agyemang Manu has announced that even if his throat is slashed with a dagger, unemployed nurses will not be posted until they are given financial clearance by Finance Ministry.

A group of unemployed private nurses on Monday July 31, 2017 picketed at the premises of the Ministry of Health to register their disappointment at the Government for failure in posting them.

The nurses who spent the night at the ministry told Akwasi Boateng on Hot93.9FM's educative program 'Maakye' that, the Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu who addressed a section of them Tuesday August 1, indicated they are not the only ones whose names are yet ton cleared hence even if his throat is slashed, it will not fetch them any results because his outfit is waiting on the Finance Ministry to clear them (the nurses) for them to be posted.

"The minister asked us to accord him as a father but we realise that the mutual respect between a father and his children is not being upholded here. If he tells us that even if we slit his throat, we will not be posted then how does he want us to respond. This is not what they promised us." A distraught unemployed nurse said.

Accusing the Government of sidelining private nurses and employing public nurses, the unemployed Private nurses said they were not leaving the premises of the Ministry of Health until they are posted.
