Tema, June 25, GNA - The Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Tema Greenwich Meridian Congregation, has donated assorted items to the Children's Ward of the Tema General Hospital.

The items included: medical examination materials, 30 pieces of treated mosquito nets, 3 pieces of water kettle and some assorted drinks and biscuits.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, the Nursing Officer (N.O) at the ward, Miss Vivian Danso thanked the group for their kind gesture.

Miss Danso said the treated mosquito nets came in timely as the hospital was currently in dire need of nets.

She appealed to other religious bodies, individuals and organizations to support the hospital especially the children's ward.

The Senior Presbytor of the Greenwich Presbyterian Church and Patron for the YAF, Mr Charles Lokko, said it was the social responsibility of the Church to take care of the sick and especially the less privileged.

Miss Ida Boahene, Chairperson for the YAF 10th anniversary planning committee, said the presentation formed part of activities to commemorate the celebration.

Miss Boahene added that, the group had already visited some police cells within the Tema Metropolis and provided food, water and fruits to the inmates in the cells.

She reiterated the call on other benevolent groups in the country to emulate the gesture and show love to the less privileged in society.

The YAF 10th anniversary which is on the theme, " Celebrating 10 years of Excellent Stewardship",
