Assin South Receives President's DCE Nominee With Joy

Constituents of Assin South District in the central region are currently heaving a great sigh of relief following the nomination of Mr. Derrick Owusu Ambrose as the District Chief Executive.

The nomination of Mr. Ambrose, who is the current constituency chairman of the NPP in the constituency, was greeted with great joy by the constituents, particularly followers of the NPP.

Unlike other places where party supporters welcomed the President's nominees to the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive with press conferences, agitations and demonstrations, the Assin South district capital of Assin Darmang and it environs are currently peaceful.

The peaceful atmosphere surrounding the nomination of Mr. Owusu Ambrose is a clear manifestation that he is the choice of the people.

Some party supporters who spoke to this reporter described the nominee as a true grassroot person who had worked tireless for the party and therefore deserved the nomination.

In an exclusive interview, the nominee expressed his appreciation to the President, Nana Akufo Addo for the honour done him.

He explained that the total jubilation that characterised his nomination in the district demonstrated that he will be given an overwhelming approval.

He promised he would operate an open door policy when he is finally approved.
