Body of unidentified girl washed ashore at Saltpond


Saltpond (C/R), Feb. 16, GNA - The Saltpond District Police has appealed to the public to help identify a corpse of a girl believed to be about nine years that was washed ashore at Saltpond Lower Town last month.

Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency on Monday, the district crime officer, Inspector Patrick Yeboah said the corpse was washed ashore in a blue pant and had since been deposited at the Saltpond government hospital mortuary.

Inspector Yeboah said though several announcements had been made about the discovery of the body, it was yet to be claimed.
