GNA

Fomena (Ash), Jan. 6, GNA - The Adansihene, Nana Ofori Agyeman II, on behalf of the chiefs and people of the Adansi Traditional Council has congratulated President J.A. Kufuor on his victory in the December 7 election.

In his congratulatory message, Nana Ofori Agyeman said it was the President's sense of humility and respect for all and sundry that won popular votes for him and his New Patriotic Party (NPP).

"I know from my personal association with you since our secondary school days that it is your humility and respect for all and sundry that won the popular votes for you and your party (NPP)".

The Adansihene said it was his fervent prayer that the President would exhibit the same sterling qualities of humility, love and understanding in carrying out his vision during "this second term".

The message added, "May I wish you and your family good health and peace to push Ghana forward on the path of social, economic and political development in peace and freedom for all Ghanaians. In a related development, the Obuasi Municipal Assembly has expressed joy and appreciation in the re-election of President Kufuor for another four-year term.

In a congratulatory message to the President signed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Joe Boampong, the Assembly said: "No wonder at the end of the first four years, Ghanaians have unanimously endorsed your return to the Castle to continue your excellent work for another four years with an overwhelming 53 per cent of popular votes".
