Bonsu (B/A), Jan. 18, GNA - The third annual Sunday school children congress of the Nkoranza Deanery aimed at inculcating Christian values in the Catholic Diocese of Techiman, has ended.

The four-day programme, participated by more than 520 children from four parishes at Nkoranza, Bonsu as well as Kranka and Busunya in the Nkoranza North District, was under the theme: 'I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord'.

Reverend Father Ernest Boadum, Priest in-charge of the Saint Dominic Catholic Church at the Nkoranza Estate community, urged the children to be God-fearing and lead exemplary lives in their communities.

Father Boadum said there was the need for children to be humble and submissive to their parents, teachers and the elderly in the society because good manners resulted in blessings from Almighty God.

He expressed worry about the increasing rate of social vices among the younger generation of the country and advised the teenagers, adolescents and the youth to refrain from bad practices.

Father Boadum appealed to the leadership of the church to offer the necessary support for the activities and programmes of the Sunday School Department to encourage the children to maintain their faith in the Catholic Church.
