University of Ghana Amends Semester Calendar


Accra, Nov.11 GNA - The University of Ghana, Legon on Thursday announced an amendment in its first semester calendar to enable members of the University Community to exercise their franchise during the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

A statement by the Public Affairs Directorate of the University said December 6; December 7, and December 8, 2004, have been declared free days to enable members of the Community to travel, if they should, to exercise their franchise, and return in good time to continue with normal business.

In the light of the amendment of the First Semester Calendar, the University would close on December 15, 2004. 11 Nov. 04
