Nana Assiama Guahyia Ababio, the Chairman of the Board, who interacted with journalists at Fomena, said one major concern of members was how to solve the numerous chieftaincy disputes in the area.

"At the moment there are disputes at Bodwesango, Odumase, Akrofuom, Akrokerri, Asokwa, Dompoase, Bobriase and Ayaase and no meaningful development can be achieved without first solving these disputes", he said.

For a start, he said, the Board intends to appoint two sub-committees to solve the disputes at Bodwesango and Odumase. The committees are expected to use the Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR) procedures to save time and money.

Nana Guahyia explained that a number of sub-committees including Development, Education and Health, Social and Cultural as well as Executive would be set up to assist the Board to fulfil its mandate.
