Mr Timothy Akanpabadai, World Vision Operations Base Team Leader, presenting the items to officials of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ghana Education Service in Savelugu, said the donation was to help improve health and education in its operational areas.

He said the donation was also in recognition of the fact that health facilities especially in the Northern sector needed to be supported with basic logistics to be able to provide quality healthcare to their clients.

He said the beds were meant for maternity purposes adding that World Vision's child well-being aspirations included ensuring that children enjoyed good health and received the best of education for a better future.

He said WV was also collaborating with its partners to work and transform lives especially in the rural areas, where most of the vulnerable people lived and had no essential social amenities to improve their livelihoods.

He expressed hope that the presentation would help improve healthcare and education delivery in the beneficiary districts.

Mr Raymond Abatanie, a deputy director of education in the Upper East Region, on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to WV for the gesture and assured that the books would serve the intended purpose to improve education.
