Hasaacas beat Venomous vipers 3-1

Cape Coast, July 12, GNA - Giants of the West, Sekondi Hasaacas on Sunday whipped Cape Coast Venomous Vipers 3-1 in a friendly football match played at Cape Coast sports stadium.

Hasaacas took an early lead through midfielder, Kingsley Kwarteng in the third minute just after class one referee, Buckman Yanney whistled for the commencement of the game.

They continued to pile pressure on Vipers and the 40th minute Vipers full back, Abraham Gyasi in an attempt to clear the ball from his goal area rather deflected it into his own net for the second goal for the visitors.

Hasaacas who were determined to carry the day made victory certain in the 70th minute when Maxwell Kyei of Dwarfs fame raised his side's tally to 3-0 when he beautifully converted a spot kick.

Incessed by the glaring defeat, Vipers from then on took absolute control of the game and following series of attacks in Hasaacas goal area, a hard pressed defender handled the ball.

Referee Yanney did not hesitate to award a penalty to Vipers from which outside right, Walters Mensah scored to bring the final scores to 3-1.
