French Minister to visit Ghana

Accra June 14, GNA- Mr Xavier Darcos, French Minster of State in Charge of Cooperation, Development Francophanie would visit Ghana from Wednesday June 16 to Thursday 17 June, a statement from the French Embassy said on Monday.

While in Ghana, Mr Darcos would hold talks with President John Agyekum Kufuor and interact with officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Regional Cooperation and NEPAD and the Public Service Reform and National Institutional Renewal Programme (NIRP).

The French Minister of State would also hold discussions with Dr Richard Anane, Minister for Road and Highways on the rehabilitation of urban roads, including the construction of interchange over the Accra-Tema Motorway financed by Agence Francaise de Developpment (AFD). The statement said the last time a French Minister delegate for Co-operation visited Ghana was in 1985.
