I Want To Beat President Mahama''................
24.05.2014 LISTEN

Haven't followed keenly the campaign issues that were raised by the NDC before the 2008 general elections, they made so much noise about economic hardships and corruption under ex Prez Kuffours administration and made us believe that they had the antidote to Ghana's economic challenges and fighting corruption as well. They gave Ghanaians "a reason to hope " that things could be better if they were giving the mandate hence strategically opting for the slogan " for a better Ghana"

It's strange and unbelievable the length politicians go to unseat a ruling government. They brand themselves as "socialists" just as the NDC call themselves "social democrats" always arguing on the basis of introducing policies and making decisions that benefit "the masses," "ordinary people," and "less privilege" in society.

So l ask Prez Mahama and the NDC government, how does the withdrawal of subsidies on Tertiary education benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society." How does the withdrawal of allowances for Teacher trainees and Nursing Students benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society." Mr Prez how does the payment of millions of Ghana cedis to Subah Info Solutions for virtually no work done benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society."

How does insensitive waste of the taxpayers money on the failed "SADA PROJECT" benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society."

How does the over $ 50 million that was wasted on the failed STX KOREA housing deal benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society."

How does the GYEEDA chop-chop, the ASONTABA AKONFEM project and the over 100% increment in water and electricity tarrifs in the past year benefit the "masses, ordinary people and less privilege in society."

My neighbour has a very beautiful daughter Agnes, born death and dumb. Haven't returned home from campus, l've seen her in the house for the past 4 days roaming in the neighbourhood. Due to our vocal communication challenge, l gave the 18 year old a paper and pen and wrote to her why she wasn't in school. She neatly wrote, " school closed down, President Mahama says there is no money for us" and further wrote, "I WANT TO BEAT PRESIDENT MAHAMA."

Her mother later confirmed the story. To my amazement, l learnt on news later yesterday that there is a nationwide shut-down of special schools for the " blind, death and dumb" due to government's decision to withdraw subsidies for these "special schools" leaving the administrators of these schools with no option but to send these innocent and less privilege students with hearing and sight impairment HOME.

To what extent must Ghanaians suffer under Prez Mahama and his government before we see a positive change? I'm very sad this morning. To see that Ghana's presidency has become so insensitive to the plight of the very people that brought it to power. Even the blind, death and dumb are not spared of Prez Mahama's latest introduction, WITHDRAWAL OF SUBSIDIES.

We all know how Prez Mahama increased his own Salary to some whooping GH ¢ 12,000 some few months after succeeding Prof Mills. How ministers and deputy ministers are now enriching themselves with GH ¢10, 000 and 8000 monthly salaries and other fat traveling and working allowances. Prez Mahama should also withdrawal benefits and allowances allocated to him and that of his ministers. He should also cancel their traveling allowances, per diem and huge salaries. Then, Ghanaians will know we are all on a patriotic mission. President MAHAMA has created an unprecedented laviathan government, with the number of ministerial and government appointees exceeding that of any government from the era of Nkrumah to his own boss Mills. Yet, this laviathan government machinery, catered for at the expense of the poor taxpayer has woefully failed to present a single solution to the modern day economic challenges and hardships of the ordinary Ghanaian. They simply lack focus, direction and completely incompetent. Did we go, or did we come? Ghana's progress is not even at a standstill, it has rather assumed a fast deteriorating speed towards a dark path of impending economic paralysis and unprecedented hardships that can further send us into the abyss of HIPIC and the days of 1983.

From the north, tomato farmers have resulted to commiting suicide to end their unending economic hardships according to a recent Joy fm news bulletin. Accra is completely engulfed in filth because of government's inability to pay waste management companies keeping the city clean. Contract killing and crime rate is on a record high in Kumasi and Accra. The whole nation is now in darkness courtesy almighty Dumsor-Dumsor. Workers are on strike every now and then due to unpaid salaries and allowances. Metro mass transport service is now history. They recently called for a bail out. University students are about paying GH¢ 450 as fees for water and electricity because of subsidy withdrawal. The famous health insurance scheme is now suffocating for survival.

Mr President, we are the Ghanaians that voted for you and we are demanding our better Ghana you promised us. Where is the better Ghana? Our beloved country is becoming inhabitable for us all. Act now, and rescue Ghana.

A nation and continent calls for duty now!!!!!!!!!!

God bless our homeland Ghana and make our President wise and strong.
