A-Plus Threatens Nana-B?

A-Plus Threatens Nana-B?
13.05.2018 LISTEN

Campaign manager for Dominic Eduah and musician turned politician and social commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng, known to the showbiz industry as A-Plus has openly threatened the life of Henry Nana Boakye, deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme and aspirant for the National Youth Organiser portfolio of the NPP.

This threat was made by A-Plus when images of him and former president Mahama having a conversation at John Dumelo's wedding was sarcastically captioned on facebook as a negotiating attempt by him to sell the youth wing of the NPP to the NDC should his candidate Dominic Eduah emerge victorious.

Apparently, this post made by one Goerge Kwarteng Adenta, a known supporter of NANA-B did not go well with A-Plus, who openly threatened to make NANA-B pay for it. Commenting on a post by one Atick Yakubu on the same issue, A-Plus posted "Nana B will Pay. He'll pay big time. When Kofi Adams insulted me, it took 3 months for me to give him a reply." Other facebook users commenting on the same post were amased as to how A-Plus would openly threaten NANA-B when he had no knowledge of the said post. Others queried why A-Plus was not attacking the one who made the post but would suddenly make NANA-B the victim of his threats.

Readers would recollect that this is not the first time A-Plus has attacked leading figures of the NPP and government on social media. He caused controversy in 2017 when he accused the two deputy chiefs of staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor of corruption and later called them stupid and foolish. He again insulted the Kumasi Mayor Hon. Osei Assibey by likening his spectacle to a windscreen. He later launched unprovoked insults on Hon. Brian Acheampong and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the minister of Education. A-Plus stirred greater controversy when he recorded a conversation with the current CID boss and allegedly doctored the tape to create the false impression that she was attempting to persuade him to back down on his baseless corruption accusations against the two deputy chiefs of staff.

In the later part of last year, A-Plus made Nana-B the subject of his daily attacks on facebook calling him "obolo," and later referring to him as someone who dresses like "waakye eater." It took severe pressure from some leaders of the NPP to compel Dominic Eduah to force his Campaign Manager to halt the unprovoked attacks against NANA-B. Kwame A-Plus it appears, wants to lead the youth wing of the NPP and he is hell bent on using Dominic Eduah to accomplish that. Basing on how Dominic Eduah has failed in calling his Campaign Manager, A-plus to order, many in the NPP are questioning Dominic's leadership ability, worried that his electoral victory would warrant individuals like A-Plus the platform to cause confusion in the party's youth wing. For now, we look forward to seeing how A-Plus would make NANA-B pay for it as he has threatened.
