The projects include construction of three-unit classroom block and office ancillary for Zabzugu Senior High School (SHS), and three-unit classroom block and office ancillary for Woribogu D/A Primary School.
Mr Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandou, told Ghana News Agency in an interview that other projects include the construction of a fire service post at Zabzugu, spot improvement of feeder roads spanning ZabzuguTikpralanyili and provision of a six-unit police accommodation at Zabzugu.
He said under the District Assemblies Common Fund the district intends to construct a six-unit classroom block at Rajia D/A Primary School and a dining hall for Zabzugu SHS.
Mr Laa-Bandou said a District Response Initiative on HIV and AIDS and Malaria Control Programme would also be in place as well as the extension of electricity to Zabzugu township and Chakpulugu-Baadul communities.
He expressed the hope that the deplorable roads in the district would be fixed to boost agricultural production and to facilitate the transportation of goods and services from the farm gates.
Mr Laa-Bandou says the assembly will also pursue educational drive seriously to bridge the illiteracy gap and stem the rural-urban migration.
It will also seek the co-operation of stakeholders to fight early marriage of girls and low girl- child education.
