Ivorian Prime Minister In Ghana

Accra, Oct, 07. GNA - The Ivorian Prime Minister Seydou Diarra arrived in the Accra this afternoon at the invitation of President John Agyekum Kufuor to discuss political events in that country. The Foreign Minister, Nana Akuffo-Addo and the Ambassador of Ivory Coast Amon Tanoe Emmanuel met him on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

Seydou Diarra is expected to leave the country for Cote d'Ivoire later in the day. President Kufuor holds talks with Ivorian Prime Minister Accra, Oct.7, GNA - ECOWAS Chairman, President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday said Ghana was committed to offer opinion on issues that would strengthen the stabilization and peace process in Cote d'Ivoire.

He said: " Ghana is honoured to be involved in the review of the Marcussis and the Accra Accord that established the transitional government to secure stabilization and peace in Cote d'Ivoire."

President Kufuor made the observation when Ivorian Prime Minister, Seydou Diarra paid a courtesy call on him at the Castle, Osu. Prime Minister Diarra said, he was in Accra to deliver a special message from the Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo to President Kufuor and brief him on new developments in the implementation of the Accra Accord.

He said, although the Marcussis Accord played a major role in the stabilization and the peace process, the Accra Accord was the climax in the establishment of the transitional government that gave an impetus to the peace process.
