
Two Immigration officers and a Custom official met their untimely death last Friday evening in a motor accident near Elubo in the Western region.
Police sources said the incident occurred when a Mercedes Benz salon car in which they were driving run into a stationary vehicle and fell into a ditch.
The victims have been identified as Albert Sowah, a 58-year-old Customs Officer at the Elubo boarder, 28-year-old Hanna Afful and Daniel Owusu.
Jomoro District Police Commander Furgeson Dzineku told Joy News the bodies have been deposited at the Half Assini Government Hospital.
He narrated that the incident occurred around 5pm when Daniel, a CEPS officer based in Aflao, and Hanna, an Immigration officer, who were a couple were on their way to a restaurant together with a friend when their vehicle run into the stationary vehicle.
Furgeson Dzineku said the vehicle somersaulted into a valley, “caught fire and burnt the inmates into ashes.
Their bodies, he said have been sent to a morgue for autopsy.
