Accra, Dec 25, GNA - Reverend Isaac Asamoah, Resident Pastor of the Gospel Faith Ministry, Accra, on Sunday said, Christians celebrate Christmas to worship and glorify Jesus Christ as savior of the World.

He said: “All we are doing during such season is to lift the name of Jesus high and to exhibit his nature of life, kindness and humility to the World.”

In a message to Christians, Rev Asamoah asked them to let all that they do on such occasion reflect what Christ stood for, by loving and respecting one another and living in humility as well as showing kindness to everyone.

He stressed that it behoved Christians to let their light shine before all people through their deeds and words “anything apart from that is not Christmas.”

Rev Ishmael Deh, an associate pastor of the Gospel Faith Ministry in a sermon reminded Christians that Jesus was a holy and true man.

He said there was hope for all those who beloved and lived for Christ, adding that all those who have not accepted Christ as their Lord should use the occasion do so and live for him, “for their salvation.”

He urged the church to project Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity rather than to manifest human beings, particularly pastors.

In a related development, Prophesies Mrs. Victoria Osei of the Holy Revival Christ Ministry at Soutoum, Accra, has asked Ghanaians, especially Christians to be cautious about their activities “as we enter the election year 2012.”

“We must do away with politics of insults and tolerate each other's views and with prayers, God is going to see us through the election safely.”
