Nyinahin (Ash) Aug 31, GNA - The Atwima-Mponua District Assembly has sunk 120 boreholes as part of an aggressive push towards the expansion of potable water supply to people in the area.

Additionally, it has completed 1,000 household toilets to boost environmental sanitation.

Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah, the District Chief Executive, told the Ghana News Agency that the assembly had also built a market at Mpasatia and four senior staff quarters.

These projects, she said, were started by the previous administration.

She spoke of a number of on-going development projects the assembly is undertaking and mentioned them as classroom blocks at Nyinahin, Kwanfinfi, Bedaabour and Ntobroso.

There is also the construction of girls' dormitory block, a guest house and District Assembly Hall and office complex, all at Nyinahin, and a police station at Tanodumase.

Touching on roads, Mrs Tawiah said the Saakrom-Apanimadi, Anhwiafutu-Mpanwe, Kwantinfi-Kotokuom and Saleem-Ogyadum feeder roads had all been rehabilitated.
