A police officer has appealed to drivers' unions to conduct checks on vehicles and drivers before loading them as part of efforts to help reduce accidents during the Easter festivities.

The District Kasoa Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Jordan Quaye, said this in a statement issued in Winneba.

He appealed to passengers to report drivers who smell of alcohol and drive dangerously at the nearest police barrier.
