A student who poured hot water on her colleague resulting in severe burns on her back and breast on has appeared before a Circuit Court in Accra charged with causing harm.
Felicia Acquah pleaded not guilty and the court admitted her to GH¢1,000 bail with a surety to re-appear on March 16.
Chief Inspector Mary Adika told the court that, the complainant, Gloria Odum, and Felicia lived in the same house at New Fadama in Accra. On March 3, this year Felicia was passing in front of the shop of the complainant when she alleged the complainant and her sister were gossiping about her and she also insulted them.
Gloria confronted Felicia and this resulted into a fight between the two, but onlookers separated them.
The prosecution said the two were engaged in another fight in the house during which Gloria bit Felicia's breast. Felicia then poured hot water on Gloria.
The prosecution said Gloria and Felicia lodged complaints with the police.
