Millicom Ghana limited, operators of Tigo, has donated two phone receiver sets to the Ghana National Fire Service to enable callers to reach the emergency 192 line promptly in times of disasters.

A press release signed by Mr Anthony Osafo-Affum, Deputy Director for Public Relations said Millicom Ghana Limited, said they recognised the role of the Fire Service in protecting the nation's resources and people.

The statement said they found it expedient to donate the phone sets for the southern and northern sectors to make it easy for TIGO subscribers to "express themselves" by reducing the delays in getting to 192.

The Director of Technical Services, Mr Ohene Obiri thanked Millicom and appealed to the company to give the fire service dedicated hotlines, which would serve as alternatives to the 192 for prompt service delivery.
