Vote For DFP - Aspirant

Mr Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, a 32 year-old lecturer at the Sunyani Polytechnic on Monday filed his nomination to contest the Nkoranza South parliamentary seat on the ticket of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP).

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, Mr Korantwi-Barimah said, the time has come for Ghanaians to try another party government after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He promised to use his acquired knowledge and skills as a lecturer to help develop the constituency if given the mandate through the DFP in Parliament.

Mr Korantwi-Barimah said both the NDC and NPP governments have not been able to alleviate the plight of the people and called on Ghanaians to vote for DFP to bring a change in the living standard of the people.

The aspirant expressed concern about the poor standard of education among the youth of the area, promised to help promote education through a scholarship scheme for brilliant but needy pupils and students.

Mr Vincent Addo, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Organiser of the DFP, said about 320 party foot-soldiers had been recruited to help mobilise people to join the party and added that the party would open offices at zonal centers to enable the constituency executives to reach members regularly.
