The national Olympic soccer team, the Black Meteors are playing their Nigerian counterparts this afternoon in an Olympic game qualifier at Abuja.

The match is the opening game in Group B of the African qualifiers for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

The Nigerians are promising themselves a big win following Saturday's disappointing result by the Super Eagles, who were beaten 2-1 by Uganda in their 2008 African Cup of Nations Group Three qualifier in Kampala.

Nigeria had taken a first half lead, but two penalties, one rather controversial but perfectly converted, downed the Eagles.

From Abuja however, Joy FM's Elloeny Amande who is with the Meteors team to run live commentary, says the Ghanaians are living under no team's shadows and have vowed to emerge victorious.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
