With the objective of increasing the awareness of the youth, widen their perspectives, and find solutions to their problems, Forum Istanbul Youth Platform was able to bring together students in high schools and universities.

The next project of the Youth Platform will be a competition among the students to come out with the best solution to a national problem that will be proposed by the students.

The solution will be presented by the winner at the next youth session in 2008 Forum Istanbul.

Youth advocates, students and educationists from Africa, Asia, European countries, attended the forum.

Participants visited some historic sites like the Topkapi Palace, a maze of buildings that was once the great palace of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th Centuries, and Saint Sophia, an ancient basilica built by Constantine the Great in the fourth century and reconstructed by Justinian in the sixth century.

The young delegates were taken through some historical facts like the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire.
