Human-beings are a very funny set of creatures created by God. No wonder, of all creatures, it was only Man that God regretted creating. Man, in his vain disposition, tries to acquire a pretentious amnesia. In most cases, if not in all cases, Man lives in falsehood and deceit.
The greatest scam of this administration in Wukari Local Government Area, I have uncovered is the land-grabbing agenda of the council Chairman, Mr. Agbu Daudu Samaila.
The "WUKARI LGA DUE PROCESS" introduced by the Council Chairman is a draconian law orchestrated by prominent Jukun sons/daughters to share the remaining Tiv lands which is located in Tor-Musa, Tor-Iyorshaegh, Zegeate, Ikyernum, Ioryina, Chiina and Shane. The Tiv people who are the inhabitants of those communities for centuries were forced to flee their ancestral lands during the last crises between Tiv and Jukun in Wukari Local Government Area in 2019.
The operation "Share-Tiv-Lands" is led by DODO GIYA and is coordinated by the duo of Mr. WUNUKEN MASA IBI (aka protocol) and GAMBO ADI respectively. The Council Chairman of Wukari LGA. HON. AGBU DAUDU SAMAILA will supervise the operation.
Already Tiv lands in Tse Daa, Ikyo Gbulum and other places along Tsokundi road have been taken over by former Governor, Darius Dickinson Ishaku (DDI) and Adi Grace former Chairman of Wukari Local Government Area. The current Governor of Taraba State Agbu Kefas is also not left behind. Unconfirmed report has it that Tse Aboki village along Wukari - Zaki Biam road has been taken over by His Excellency as part of his share.
Meanwhile, permit me to recommend to all and sundry the following words of an insightful Nigerian by name BARRY SAMUEL KYOGA. He has had the courage to analyse the "WUKARI LGA DUE PROCESS" introduced by the council Chairman in a very honest, clear and forthright manner and he has spoken the truth. Let us hope that those that have no knowledge of that truth are humble enough to learn from it. He wrote-
The Tiv people wondered where in Nigeria's Constitution, it is stated that people who ran away from their homes during a crisis should sign a form or an undertaking before returning. They equally wondered why they should sign a resident form on land that is theirs and go as far as promising to be of good conduct when anyone can easily take advantage of their vulnerability to commit any kind of crime as has always been the case in most Tiv communities.
The Tiv people see that resident form signing as a process of enslavement and 22nd-century colonialism.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Tiv people did not come into Taraba after it was created. The Tiv people have been part of this area as far as the 18th century when Taraba as a State was still in the womb of Nigeria's Independence. It becomes an act of terror when one wakes up today and starts according to the Tiv people the title of “ Settlers " in Taraba State.
In as much as the Tiv people seek peaceful means of settlement, we won't accept daylight enslavement in the guise of" Due Process". There's nothing like due process in any part of our constitution that mandates a returning refugee to sign an agreement. This is why it becomes difficult for the Tiv people to key into the" Due Process" message of the Wukari LG Chairman.
Mr. Barry Samuel Kyuga has hit the nail on the head and I wholeheartedly commend him for his courage. Frankly I could not have put it better myself. How I wish that more of those that are in the younger generation today would indulge in the type of research and scholarship that this man has obviously done. He and those that value truth and knowledge like him, are the true Nigerians and thankfully I believe that there are many like him in every tribe and nationality in this great country. May God grant them the courage to speak out and cure the ignorant of their ignorance.
Mr. Kyugah is a brother of mine. He is one of the brightest stars and most formidable intellectuals in Taraba State today.
Judging from his words Mr. Kyogah is aware of the evil plot,. He is aware of the satanic agenda behind the due process of the Council Chairman Mr. Agbu Samaila Daudu.
I do too. The policies such as filling of Forms and singing of Undertaking earlier introduced by the Wukari Council Chairman were meant to give a legal cover to take over Tiv ancestral lands through a well-oil DUE PROCESS.
Without much ado, I therefore, state with confidence that this agenda, like the previous dubious policies of the government, will fail like the Wall of Jericho. However, our Tiv people must be very vigilant and stay alert.
