‘It’s pure nonsense to say this government has a better economic record than NDC’ — Kwakye Ofosu slams Bawumia

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a leading communications team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken a swipe at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his claims on economic record.

Dr. Bawumia, who is the ruling NPP’s flagbearer ahead of the 2024 polls, has on numerous occasions, touted his government’s economic achievement over the NDC.

In his remarks at an NPP event on Wednesday, February 28, Veep said the current government has done better than the NDC government in every sector of the economy

He indicated that comparing his party to the NDC does not make sense because the records clearly show that the ruling party is far better.

However, in a post via X on Monday, March 25, the former Deputy Information Minister says such talks are just “nonsense”.

To him, based on economic indices, there is no way the NPP and Dr. Bawumia will have a better economic record than the NDC.

“You know as well as I do that based on objective economic indices, Bawumia is talking pure nonsense when he says this government has a better economic record than the NDC,” he wrote.
