Percival Kofi Akpaloo, Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana, has voiced concerns over what he perceives as bias against Voltarians by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after the demise of the late founder, John Jerry Rawlings.
In an interview on NEAT FM's ‘Ghana Montie’ morning show, Akpaloo expressed his belief that the NDC has intentionally marginalized key Voltarian figures within the party, neglecting their contributions and denying them higher positions in the party.
The political leader asserted that Voltarians have played a crucial role in the formation and success of the NDC, emphasizing their essence to the party's existence.
"Without the Voltarians, NDC is nothing; they made the NDC," Akpaloo asserted during the interview.
Akpaloo particularly pointed out the choice of the NDC's flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, and suggested that Mahama should have considered selecting his running mate from the Volta Region due to the constant support.
