Jealous wife arrested for cooking husband with hot water

A jealous wife at Akvim Ankaase Gyadam in the Atiwa East District of the Eastern region, Madam Ama Gyimimah who harboured an intention to cause her husband Nana Baafi severe pain and run away, never thought that her wicked agenda would land her in trouble.

Ama Gyimimah is currently in the grips of the law enforcers for attempted murder.

Following her arrest and confession of the offence, the Anyinam Police in the Eastern region have remanded her for two weeks by the court.

Briefing our correspondent about Gyimimah's arrest on Wednesday, January 24 2024, a source close in the town disclosed that Ama Gyimimah has been married to Nana Baafi for the past 12 years and both live together at Akyrim Ankaase Gyadam as couples.

According to sources, Ama Gyimimah suspected her husband of cheating with other women.

Gyimimah reportedly planned to teach the husband Nana Baafi some bitter lessons.

The correspondent gathered that Nana Baafi earlier denied the allegations levelled against him by his wife.

Ama Gyimimah who was not convinced on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 packed some clothes among others with the intention to burn her husband with hot water and run away.

Gyimimah reportedly boiled water and poured it on the husband while he was taking his bath in the morning.

Sources said Nana Baafi's scream for help attracted neighbors who rushed him to the nearby hospital.

Madam Gyimimah after the dastardly act nicodemusly rushed to the Anyinam Police station to lodge a complaint of assault against his husband who was in the hospital in severe pain.

But it was at the police station where Nana Baafi's friends who also rushed to the police station to lodge a complaint against Ama Gyimimah spotted her and she was consequently arrested and handed over to the police.

It was at the police station that GHC 10,000.00 was allegedly found on her and she confessed to the offence. She was charged based on her own confession to the crime.
