Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyepong is rooting for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to become the flagbearer of the party.
The former presidential hopeful of the NPP marked the 10-year anniversary celebration of his late mother at Asokore Mampong Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, October 1.
He was joined by family, friends, NPP officials, as well as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Second Lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia.
Appreciating the presence of the Vice President, Ing. Kwabena Agyapong said he is confident Dr. Bawumia will beat his competitors to become the flagbearer of the NPP later this year.
“I would like to thank Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for making time to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of my late mother and making us proud. We play for God’s fullness over his life responsibilities as the Vice President of Ghana to make his dreams and good thoughts for Ghana a reality. There’s a big victory before you! God bless the Vice President,’’ Kwabena Agyapong prayed.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia faces competition from Assin Central MP Ken Agyapong and two other aspirants following the decision by Alan Kyerematen to withdraw from the flagbearer race.
The crucial election is scheduled to be held on November 4.
