A legal practitioner and NDC Parliamentary Primaries aspirant for the Damongo constituency, Lawyer Baba Sadique Zankawah has successfully filed his nomination forms amidst cheers and applause from a mammoth crowd of enthusiastic party supporters.
The young Lawyer, who is fast rising in the politics of Damongo was policed by the youth, largely branch executives, along the principal streets of Damongo to the party officers, where he submitted his nomination forms to the party electoral officers.
In an address to the supporters shortly after submitting his nomination forms, Lawyer Baba Zankawah encouraged them to keep the spirit of unity and hardwork alive, since they were key ingredients in recapturing the lost Damongo constituency seat from their opponents come 2024.
He said the massive crowd of party supporters and sympathisers who came out to accompany him present his nomination forms was a clear indication of the fact that the NDC was very much alive in the Damongo constituency poised for the Greater Damongo Agenda (GREDA), which is the Reorganize, Recapture and Transparent.
He said the handwriting was clear on the wall to signal the elephant party to get ready for the battle to rescue the constituency from incompetent mismanagement and money sharing spree, adding that," the face of NDC politics in the Damongo constituency was about changing for good".
According to him, the National Democratic Congress largely lost the Damongo constituency seat due to cracks and disunity among the rank and file of the party and gave the assurance that he was going to work to bring all hands on deck towards pursuing the GREDA agenda.
He assured the many jobless NDC youth that hope was coming for them since he is poised to create the enabling avenue for the youth to get employed through skill development and be self-reliant.
Lawyer Baba Sadique Zankawah thanked the youth for their support over the period and assured that he will never let them down.
Some of the delegates and supporters who spoke to this reporter assured of massive support for the lawyer, indicating that he was the face of positive change, hope and victory in waiting for the NDC in the Damongo constituency.
