A nursing student at Nalerigu Nursing and Midwifery College has gotten into trouble for using the uniform for a TikTok video.

She is being investigated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) for stating in a video that she will kill her patients when she finishes school and posted to a health facility.

In a viral video that has gone viral, she is heard saying, “In case, I have graduated and you see me in the hospital, I mean working in the hospital, I am begging you ladies and gentlemen, run for your life because I may kill somebody there.”

With the attention of the Nursing and Midwifery Council drawn to the video, it has issued a statement on the matter on various actions it is taking to deal with the nurse.

The Council states unequivocally that it places great importance on issues of professional conduct for nursing and midwifery students, nurses, and midwives thus condemning the act.

The council adds that it is investigating the matter and will sanction the student in accordance with its Code of Conduct.

“Investigations have commenced earnestly to identify the said student and apply the necessary sanctions as enshrined in the Code of Conduct for Nurses and Midwives.

“The statement made by the alleged student nurse is a clear demonstration of ignorance about the Nursing and Midwifery Professions and therefore the public should treat it with the contempt it deserves,” part of a release from the Nursing and Midwifery Council reads.
