A driver union calling itself Concerned Drivers Union Association of Ghana at Keta in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region has threatened to embark on strike on Thursday, November 25, 2021 due to increasing fuel prices.

The Association says their action is necessary as they find it difficult to cope with the recent high fuel prices.

According to them, they have come to the realization that the increase in fuel prices has also affected the prices of spare parts in the country.

"We are packing our motorbikes, tricycles, taxis and trotros and any other motorists that use fuel due to the rise in the fuel prices," the group stated.

Reverend Nusenyo Anthony, the chairman of the Concerned Drivers Union Association in interaction with media stated that his members are only calling on government to do something about the situation.

He said the situation has affected every aspect of life making life miserable for most drivers in and around the municipality.

He is pleading with government through the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Emmanuel Gemegah, whom they served a copy of their letter to help reduce the price of the fuel.
