A US-based lecturer, Dr. Sa-ad Iddrisu, has described the former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, as a real coward and a charade.
According to him, Mr. Amidu has always been a coward who is afraid to speak the truth for fear of his life.
Dr. Sa-ad Iddrisu, made these assertions in a Facebook post reacting to Mr. Amidu's letter sent to the media alleging that his life was under threat.
Dr. Iddrisu expressed his disappointment in Mr. Amidu, who cannot die for his principles and save the country when he has been touted for his principles and bravery.
It would be recalled that the Immediate-Past Special Prosecutor, Martin A. B. K. Amidu, has said he is convinced that his life is under threat, saying the President should be held responsible if he is harmed.
Mr. Amidu, in an interview with an Accra based radio station, said he decided not to engage in any media banter after resigning from office and warned that he will release more salvos if he is provoked by government officials.
Dr. Sa-ad Iddrisu stated that the Citizen Vigilante is willing to withhold vital information that can save the country from the corrupt President Akufo Addo's government in exchange for his life.
The post reads as follows “I have always thought Martin Amidu was very bold and principled until recently. That man is a real coward and a charade. It’s always a coward who is afraid to speak the truth for fear of his life. Martin is willing to withhold vital information that can save the country from these guys in exchange for his life. So, where is his so-called touted principles and bravery? If you can’t die for your principles, then better have non. I am disappointed in him”.
