Mahama Has Stolen My Post-1992 Presidential-Election Game Plan

He is right to assert that there is absolutely no evidence, whatsoever, that he has ever put into the public domain information that was either deemed to lack forensic credibility or devoid of substance. We are here, of course, talking about Abronye DC – aka Mr. Kwame Baffoe – the current Bono Region’s Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). In his latest tranche/dossier of exclusive information, Abronye tells us that in a desperate effort to effectively sabotage the highly likely second term of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the latter’s predecessor, to wit, Mr. John “Akonfem-SADA” Dramani Mahama, has been trolling the country and inducing disgruntled parliamentary candidates of the New Patriotic Party, who have regressively decided to stand as Independent Candidates in the upcoming December 2020 General Election, with two brand-new pickup trucks, each, and wads of humongous amounts of electioneering campaign money, so as to ensure a significant reduction in the number of the NPP Parliamentary Majority.

The Bono Regional NPP Chairman made this interesting revelation on the Kennedy Ohene Agyapong-owned NET-2 Television Network on which Abronye has been making regular appearances for quite sometime now. We must also quickly highlight the fact that it was the same Mr. Baffoe who, not quite long ago, told the nation that he had forensically sustainable evidence linking the apparent assassination of President John Evans Atta-Mills to the latter’s then arch-lieutenant, that is, then Vice-President John “Embraer-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama. Well, as we all vividly recall, Mr. Anthony “Tony” Lithur, the abrasive Mahama lawyer and leading attorney of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), came swinging and threatening to go to court and hitting Mr. Baffoe where it hurt the most – which was his wallet and his reputation, of course. Well, since then, nobody has heard from either Candidate Mahama or Mr. Lithur vis-à-vis where the much-promised defamation lawsuit is being heard or being trialed.

Instead, we have heard Candidate Mahama tell Ghanaians that he was suspending his 2020 presidential-election campaign in order to duke it out with Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah, the Chairperson of Ghana’s Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), whom the former President was convinced was poised to massively rigging the December poll in favor of the man who appointed Mrs. Mensa to the job. Was this his devious way of informing the global Ghanaian community that when Mr. Mahama appointed Mrs. Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei to the highly sensitive post of the Electoral Commission’s Chairperson, the West-Gonja native was actually counting on his “very grateful appointee,” who was at the time Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), to rig the December 2016 Presidential Election in his favor?

The Mahama Strategy – an eleventh-hour game plan, by the way – to sandbag President Akufo-Addo by heavily financing disgruntled ruling party parliamentary candidates who have decided to leave the party and stand as Independent Candidates, may very well have been ripped out of the fast-yellowing moth-eaten playbook of yours truly. This is precisely the well after-the-fact advice that I gave to a defeated Prof. Albert A. Adu-Boahen, late, that had the latter not rather unwisely permitted obvious megalomania to cloud his cranial faculties momentarily, the second-best strategy in his determination to wrest democratic power from the power-frozen hands of Strongman Jerry John Rawlings, in the wake of the predictable loss of the Presidency to the Sogakope Mafia Capo, ought to have been for the retired University of Ghana historian to have put the ballast of his full-heft or weight behind New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidates, so as to delectably either crush or effectively sabotage the agenda of the suavely and opportunistically civilianized newly-elected President Jerry John Rawlings.

Going by the spine-chilling and highly credible testimony of Mr. Kwame Baffoe, or Abronye DC, this proven strategy of political stalemating well appears to be the very desperate tack of the man who literally and callously plunged the Ghanaian citizenry into Stygian darkness, also globally infamously known as Dumsor, for some four-and-half protracted years. The best and most effective method of neutralizing this copycat Mahama strategy is for Mr. Kwame Baffoe and the entire national executive operatives of the New Patriotic Party to take their proverbial Smoking-Gun or evidence to the Fast-Track Court and have each and every one of the NPP members or carpet-crossers who have decided to undermine the salutary development of Ghana, by criminally and scandalously taking bribes from the pathologically payola-addicted Candidate John “Akonfem-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama, and standing for the December 2020 General Election as Independent, promptly disqualified by the Independent Electoral Commission.

This is a criminal ploy on the part of Candidate Mahama because the law does not permit any Presidential Candidate gunning for Election 2020 to be running two political parties or indulging in what may be aptly termed as the political equivalent of polygamy or bigamy, in American civil and criminal law, that is, the secret funding of multiple political parties with the primary objective of deliberately wrecking Ghana’s fledgling albeit robust, salutary and beneficent democratic culture, simply because this nation-wrecker sees no other way of regaining power legitimately or legally.
