JUL 7, 2020 LISTEN

Dear Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, Vice-President Nominee,

Congratulations on your undoubtedly well-deserved nomination, as our Vice-Presidential nominee. On behalf of NDC Holland Chapter, please accept our sincerest congratulations.

Congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama on his choice of a former Vice-Chancellor and former Minister of Education, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, as his running mate. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman is a woman with an impeccable record in public service and a potent to appeal to the floating voters.

For we in Diasporas, our more concern was the choice of the Vice-Presidential candidate. Vice-presidential selection can be something of an open-ended mess, creating as many problems for a candidate as it can help with an election. The vice-presidential selection is intended to be an electoral plus, adding balance to the ticket and hopefully greater voter appeal. With your choice of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, we think you have made a perfect choice and the road to the Jubilee House is guaranteed.

Our country, Ghana, cannot afford four (4) more years of Nana Addo/Bawumia lies, ineptitude, nepotism, corrupt and families-friends government. The ruling party, NPP, has failed Ghanaians abysmally and it is time they are shown an exit. Today in Ghana, the current administration has supervised the burgeoning of what is called political vigilantism, suppressing the media, free social media is even under scrutiny, and unnecessarily arrest of the opposition. Worst of all, President Akufo-Addo’s insensitivity to the plight of the people has exposed Ghanaians lives/health to the dangers of Covid-19.

We must now look to this new team, the Mahama/Opoku-Agyeman ticket, to provide an alternate vision of a Ghana that is fiscally responsible, strong, and prosperous - a Ghana that understands and is proud of her exceptional role in the sub-Sahara. We also have the believe that the team will appeal to core human values such as socio-economic development, good healthcare, the environment, better educational system and jobs creation, which at the end will benefit Ghanaians.

From us in the Netherlands, we say “AYEKOO” and God strengthens you.

In conclusion, let us adhere to the policy of probity, accountability and transparency.

God Bless Ghana!

God Bless NDC!

ƐyƐ Zu, ƐyƐ Za!

On behalf of NDC Holland Chapter, The Netherlands
