Cameron was born in Princeton, New Jersey, on December 31, 2001. She is the daughter of Virginia Tech basketball stars Michelle Bain-Brink and her father Greg Brink. Her family is close friends with the Curry family, and she has a brother named Cy.

Cameron's mother Sonia Curry urged her to pursue sports instead of pursuing her early dream of becoming an artist. But when she got back to the States from Amsterdam at the age of eleven, she started to get interested in basketball.
