Rachel Bashabe a 30-year-old Ugandan British born who started a clothing line as an alternative pain therapy method to help her recover from surgeries as well as a relief mechanism for Fibromyalgia, severe asthma and other reproductive health conditions that she was diagnosed within 2017/18.
A graduate with Honours in Business Management from the Queen Mary University of London turned Fashion Designer.
After 4 weeks beginners sewing class in 2018 as a way to get outdoors, she realised that she was already drawing attraction and compliments of her fabulous designs from friends and family. She eventually found a team of tailors in Kampala, Uganda and started her clothing brand ‘’Veryldesigns’’ in 2020
Veryldesigns presents its 2021 collection titled ‘’KAKYALA’’ which means ‘Beautiful Woman’’ in the Ugandan dialect.
‘’Kakyala’’ depicts bold bright prints, vibrant- especially images and designs that capture attention with style, class, and sexy all wrapped together.
The lookbook accentuates how chic and trendy African prints rocks.
The brand was picked to join the John Lewis pop up store and also #blackincanarby By MyRunwayGroup.
