KANKPE RECORDS' foremost artiste, Tinny is expected to touch down today after attending this year's International Festival for Emerging Artistes (IFEA) held in London.
The IFEA, a product of Theatre Royal Stratford East, Stratford Circus, with support from the British Council and University of East London is an exciting innovative initiative that brings together young emerging artistes from all over the world to share their creativity, talents, cultures and stories.
It is a unique global celebration of diversity and creativity expressed through a multitude of art forms such as Theatre, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Street art. Activities that formed part of this celebration included artistes-led workshops, discovery sessions with arts, expert classes as well as public performances for artistes to show their ability to inspire and entertain.
Tinny was selected to represent Ghana at the 14-day programme held from July 5 to July 21 at Theatre Royal Stratford East, Stratford Circus and Think Store. He left Ghana on Saturday, July 4. Before boarding the British Airways flight, Tinny, according to Richard Agyemang of mytinny.com, described the event as “a Value Added Trip (VAT)” and hoped to return home and inculcate into fellow artistes whatever experience he would have at the festival.
In a related development, officials of Kankpe Records and Madhaus Incorporation are set to hold roundtable discussion about the seemingly strained relation between both camps. Rumours, Beatwaves gathered, had it that “Kanpke Records wants its artiste to opt out of the Madhaus deal.”
