Born Kelvyn Brown and goes by the stage moniker, Kelvyn Boy has said what most Ghanaians hate to hear.

The artiste has stated without mimicking words that he is an addict to marijuana who cannot go a day without it.

Speaking in an interview with the Accra-based Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty, monitored by Modernghana News via the station’s Twitter handle, he added that he will be mad if he doesn't smoke even a day.

“People think if you smoke, you will go mad. Well, with me, if I don’t smoke, I will go mad,” he said.

Many have claimed that smoking hard substances cause mental problems.

Recently many musicians and public personalities, notably Amakye Dede, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko and others have been pushing for the legalisation of marijuana for the reason that its sales will boost the local economy.
