Popular Hiplife artist and political activist Kwame A Plus believes that entertainment industry players play a vital role with regards to national security and deserve some ex-gratia.
According to the Mirror Mirror crooner, tensions are calm regardless of when there is a bit of entertainment in a particular geographical setting.
“These old singers deserve ex-gratia because entertainment is a national security issue and the office of the national security should consider organizing concerts which will help to ensure peace and stability,” he told Abeiku Santana on the United Showbiz Show on Saturday.
He was speaking on the low value and quantification placed on the works of veteran and present musicians leading to poor disbursement of royalties.
A Plus went on to touch on the fact that there may be a hike in criminal cases when entertainment is on the decline.
“Look at what is going on during this Covid period, what do we hear mostly; individuals killing their wives and all that and it is just because people are depressed,” he asserted.
