Most often the quest to achieve is hindered by numerous life challenges, however with determination victory can be achieved.

Sitting out in the garden, I feel serene. I feel at home. And yet I always feel there is more to discover. The bounds of my garden may be small, but there is a whole world contained within it, and having a positive conversation is one, I will never get tired of inhabiting as I chit chat with Esther Abena Asamoah popularly known as Ohemaa Supa, a mother of three beautiful girls and a media personality on her rise as a television show host at Angel Tv a subsidiary of Angel Broadcasting Network.

Undergoing rebranding for close to a year Angel Tv bounced back with exciting contents and 32-year-old Ohemaa Supa was handed a show dubbed “Supa’s Kitchen”. Commencing her journey as a journalist in 2017, she natured the passion of becoming a journalist at an early age.

What motivates you as a media practitioner?

What keeps me going, is the access to people my work gives me. The opportunity to be an able counsel and to encourage others.

Being in the media space for four years, share with me your positive & negative experiences?

The positive experiences are public recognition and the love people show me out there and that gives me joy. Although I enjoy the media space a lot, name calling and false rumors being circulated about me is one negative aspect I wished never existed.

What's your take on Press Freedom, Women empowerment and your contribution in empowering women in media?

Press Freedom is very good and I support it, at least it goes a long way in protecting the livelihood of a journalist. Women empowerment is another great initiative that is ensuring gender equality.

I will do my best to help the young ones coming to stand on their feet, to prevent them from going through my dark days as a woman.

Who do I look up to as a media personality?

My Self

“The experience has taught me to look at things a little more “philosophically”—and not just because it’s a philosophy class! I learned that if I let go of my preconceptions, I can actually get a lot out of the world. Look at things with an open mind”. She advised upcoming ones.
