Amari Musiq Signee Walid Releases His Debut Single ‘Dunia’

Walid Ali, born on the 13th of June, 1992 in Chulah Cha Bai to a Zimbabwean mother and a Tanzanian father, moved to Amsterdam at the tender age of 7 and started making music in his teens at the age of 13.

His music style was influenced by Hip Hop and Rap music until he discovered his love for punch lines and spoken words were incomparable to his love for melody which channelled him to sing and create pure music.

His journey is filled with a lot of self-training, experiments, mistakes, corrections and sampling of different genres to ensure his ability to both exist and thrive beyond his musical comfort zone as well as develop his own sound and style which stamps him, an official RnB artist.

With his strong African roots, he has been able to infuse RnB, pop and Afrobeats to create an amazing Afropop genre with a mixture of Swahili and English, that has given him not just a record deal with African Reggae and Dancehall Superstar Patoranking’s Record Label ‘AMARI MUSIQ’ but also a promising future and career as a successful Music Artist.

While presently based in Tanzania, WALID is staking his position in the African Music Industry and is set to furnish the world with Hits.

He releases his debut single “Dunia”, with sweet love vibes, belted in Swahili accompanied by colorful visuals captured by Capital Dreams’ “Clarence Peters”.
