Hearts of Oak defender, Christopher Bonney says his sparkling performance can earn him a call up to the Black Meteors team ahead of their final Afcon qualification game against Algeria.
The 20-year-old has been sensational for the Phobians featuring in eight out of the nine matches in the ongoing Normalization Committee Special Committee.
However, Bonney is hoping his performances will earn him a spot in coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side, insisting it remains his dream to represent the country at any level.
"The dream of every player is to feature for his national team and that is my dream also. So far things have been good in the Special competition and I am hoping for a Black Meteors call up,” Bonney told SportsworldGhana.com after his brilliant display against WAFA on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He added, "The team has been outstanding throughout the qualifiers and I would want to join them with my experience to help Ghana qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.”
The Black Meteors will host the Fennec Foxes in Ghana on 5th June in the final round of the qualifiers before flying to Algeria for the return leg on 9th June 2019.
