Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie could be rejoining Genoa, three months after announcing his departure from the club.
Cofie, who rose through the ranks of the club, took to his Instagram page to bid farewell to the club in the aftermath of their 2-1 defeat to Torino on the final day of last term.
The 26-year-old was reported to be attracting interests from newly promoted sides Parma and Empoli as they look to strengthen their midfield in the summer transfer window.
However, reports from the camp of the Rossoblu suggest that the Ghanaian could rejoin the club on the request of coach Davide Ballardini after failing to land his targets in the ongoing transfer window.
The Club's failure to reinforce the team have left their fans restless as the start of the Serie A draws closer and coach Ballardini believes the return of the Ghanaian could help solve their midfield frailties in the coming campaign.
Cofie spent ten seasons with the club after joining as a teenager in 2010.
