Former Hearts of Oak Management Member, Aziz Haruna Futah has disclosed that the club’s Managing Director, Kwaku Sakyi has been receiving death threats following his decision to pursue the recent betting scandals involving the club.
The management of the club has lodged an official to the Nima police to probe the case after Protocol officer, Joshua Acquah has been alleged to have connived with some officials in the club to manipulate the team’s matches by involving in betting.
However, the vociferous supporter of the club disclosed that Mr Kwaku Sakyi has been receiving a death threat from unknown entities after he decided to investigate the matter.
“This is an exclusive and am revealing to you, the Managing Director Kwaku Sakyi has received several threatening messages,” Aziz told Atinka TV’s Sports court.
“Some people have been threatening him since he decided to get involved in the matter by reporting the issue to the Police.
“Recently a letter was delivered to his office warning him to stay out of the issue.
“And not too long ago he was attacked by some people on motorbikes.”
The Ghana Football Association have also taken it upon themselves to investigate the matter which has been making the airwaves in in the last three days.
