Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Elvis Adjei-Baah has admitted paying Black Stars technical team member Gérard Nus all his entitlements but said physical trainer Jamie Lawrence is yet to be paid.

Reports in the local media had suggested that the Sports Ministry has cleared the financial entitlements due the two technical men but Elvis insists Jamie Lawrence is yet to be sorted by his outfit.

"It's true we have paid Gérard Nus all that we needed to pay him per the document that was submitted to the Ministry by the GFA but not Jamie Lawrence," Elvis told Ghanasoccernet.com

"It's not true we have paid Lawrence. We had to dig deep into our already bleeding financial coffers to pay Gérard because his continuous stay here was also creating a different debt for the Ministry.

"We had no option than to try to sort him out so that he can leave," he explained.

He, however, noted that the amount paid Gérard Nus was not quoted since both parties had agreed not to make it public, hence the $10k being speculated is not true.

"But it is not true that we have paid him $10k. The agreement between Gérard Nus and the Ministry was not to disclose the amount," he added.

Elvis also noted that frantic efforts are being made to ensure all the other technical staff are paid what is due them.

"We are seriously working on the monies for the rest of the technical team members. We will soon handle all the rest," he added.

The Black Stars technical team member Gérard Nus had complained of unpaid allowances by the Ghana FA and the Sports Ministry following his services to the national team during the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
