BK Hacken striker Nasiru Mohammed has been ruled out for two weeks after suffering what looked like a career-threatening injury last week in the UEFA Champions League qualifier.
The 22-year-old was horribly hacked from behind and left the pitch on a stretcher in the 45 minutes at Irish side Cork City.
Compatriot Mohammed Abubakari wept as his fellow teammate was stretchered off.
But after test and x-rays, Mohammed will only be missed for a fortnight.
Mohammed, a former Ghana U17 captain, has scored one goal in 13 league appearances.
