Takoradi, Dec.8, GNA - Sekondi Wise Fighters FC would need at least 250 Million Cedis to prepare adequately for the National Middle League early next year.
Mr. Samuel Ackah, Chief Executive Officer of the club disclosed this in a speech read for him at a day's seminar for executives of the various supporting unions (Webs) at Takoradi on Wednesday, appealing to supporters and sympathisers to contribute generously towards season. He said it was incumbent on the executives to impress upon the followers to support the club financially since it was the only way of sustaining it and helping it to recapture its lost glory".
"This should spur us on to the premier division and beyond" he said. Mr Ackah told the executives to remain united and exhibit more dedication and selflessness to bring the once great club to the limelight.
He commended all who have worked hard to enable the club to emerge winners in zone 2b of the Division One League. Participants were taken through topics including, leadership skills and information management. Sekondi Wise Fighters defeated Schalke 04 5-2 at the Gyandu Park in their final match to top the zone.
