Isaac Asiamah: MP predicts failure for Nii Lantey Vanderpuye as sports minister

Isaac Asiamah, MP for Atwima Mponua believes Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye won't make any significant improvement at the sports ministry just like his predecessors from his incompetent NDC government

The MP for Ododiodoo was last month named as the Youth and Sports Minister and was on Monday vetted by parliament, awaiting approval to commence work.

 However, Isaac Asiamah who has been actively involved in sports in the country per his position as a member of the parliamentary select committee for sports has predicted that Nii Lantey Vanderpuye will fail in the sector due to his association with the NDC government.

'Nii Lantey Vanderpuye will certainly fail as sports minister because he belongs to the same team of incompetence. I don't see any good thing coming out of his appointment especially when he has little time on his side to work effectively. He is coming to work in a system where nothing seems to be working, and also saddled with bribery and corruption.' Hon. Asiamah told Happy FM

The former sports broadcaster and Weightlifting Federation President is the 8 person appointed to head the sector in the 7-year period of late President John Mills and John Dramani Mahama combined.
